Digital Portfolios
Using programs like iPhoto, Weebly or any media hosting site, have students create digital portfolios of their work. With the variety of Apple apps out there, students could voice over an image of their work and explain their rationale and learning experience for each piece they complete within a term, or even over the years. Use these digital portfolios live and create a virtual critique environment that students can participate with outside of the school day.
Flipped Instruction
Use iMovie and other video software to create demonstrations and tutorials for your students to view outside of class, preparing them for something done in class. Save class time with this type of integration because students will come to class more prepared and aware of what the project entails.
Digital Photography
It may not be the $800 SLR camera you find at your local camera store, but the iPad's camera isn't half bad. With thousands of free photo apps, have students become familiar with digital photography options and photo manipulation. This could be an activity, or essentially an entire unit.
